Job Category: Front End Developer
Job Type: Full Time
Job Location: Chatswood

“It’s no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then.” — Alice

Choose Your Door…

Door A: The Safe Hallway 🐇

Fluoro lights. Endless standups. PRs that wait… and wait.

Door B: The Rabbit Hole 🐇

A Chatswood game studio building international titles—prototypes turn playable in days. UI states sparkle, pipelines ping, and designers ask, “Can this menu feel… curiouser?” You smile, open your editor, and React.

If you’re a Door B dev, read on. (Door A folks—we wish you many functional fluorescents 🔧)

The Quest

Turn imaginative ideas into polished, performant game interfaces for web and mobile. One day it’s micro-animation timing so a button pops; the next it’s wiring a Node-powered API into a TypeScript state machine and shipping via CI/CD. You’ll work in game development on projects played by audiences around the world.

“Imagination is the only weapon in the war against reality.” — Cheshire Cat

Power-Ups You Already Wield

  • React + TypeScript mastery for reusable, accessible UI components
  • Node.js experience (SSR/APIs/integration)
  • CI/CD familiarity (GitHub Actions/GitLab/CircleCI)
  • 3+ years building and shipping front-end features in production

Nice to Have (Not Essential)

  • Mandarin language skills — valuable but not a deal breaker
  • Next.js, WebSockets/real-time updates, performance profiling
  • Testing with Jest/RTL/Playwright/Cypress
  • Game/web graphics tinkering (Canvas, WebGL, PixiJS/Three.js)

The Map & The Loot

  • Where: Chatswood studio, on-site 5 days/week (buzzing dev floor + playtest nook)
  • Salary: A$110k–$140k + super (mid to senior, commensurate with experience)
  • Start: As soon as you’re ready to tumble down the rabbit hole
  • Work rights: AU work rights required (no sponsorship this round)

Why This Adventure? 🐇

  • Ship fast: Weekly releases, instant player feedback
  • Small team, big impact: Your ideas won’t get lost in the forest
  • Creative runway: If you can prototype it, you can pitch it

How to Enter the Rabbit Hole

Send your CV plus a few lines on the trickiest front-end puzzle you’ve cracked (links to repos/demos welcome). If you’ve ever made a micro-interaction feel like magic, we want to see it.
