This is not a “keep the lights on and chase tickets” role.
This is for an IT Manager who can lead from the front, stay close to the technology, make smart systems decisions, and genuinely improve how a global fintech business operates internally.
Our client is a fast scaling global fintech going through a major AI driven transformation. They are rethinking how their internal systems, people, platforms, tools and workflows connect across the business.
This role sits right in the middle of that evolution.
You will be managing internal IT operations, owning enterprise systems, leading a major Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace migration, improving support capability, strengthening identity and access management, and driving better automation across the business.
You will not just manage problems. You will remove them.
The Opportunity
This is a hands on IT Manager role for someone who still understands the technical detail.
You will own the internal technology environment across:
- L3 technical escalation
- Enterprise SaaS platforms
- Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace migration
- Linux systems
- Identity and access management
- Onboarding and offboarding workflows
- Internal tooling
- Automation and AI enabled process improvement
You will work closely with engineering, security, operations and AI teams to build a smarter, cleaner, more scalable internal technology function.
This is a brilliant role for someone who has grown from a Senior Systems Engineer, L3 Support Lead, Infrastructure Lead, IT Operations Lead or Systems Manager background and is ready to own the full internal IT function.
What You’ll Be Owning
IT Operations Leadership
- Lead and improve the internal IT function across a global fintech environment
- Act as the senior escalation point for complex technical issues
- Build better processes, documentation, workflows and support standards
- Improve how internal technology supports the wider business
- Work closely with technical teams, security and business leaders
- Balance hands on problem solving with ownership of the broader IT roadmap
Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace Migration
- Play a key role in a full enterprise migration from Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace
- Manage email, calendar, file, collaboration and identity transitions
- Help design the new Google Workspace structure properly from day one
- Clean up legacy environments and reduce technical debt
- Support users through change with clear communication and practical solutions
- Ensure a smooth experience across a global user base
L3 Support and Technical Escalation
- Own the more complex technical issues across the business
- Troubleshoot across Linux environments, SaaS platforms, integrations and identity systems
- Resolve root causes rather than repeatedly patching symptoms
- Improve the escalation process and reduce recurring support issues
- Create a more stable, reliable and scalable internal technology environment
Systems, SaaS and Identity
Own and optimise platforms such as:
- Google Workspace
- Microsoft 365
- Slack
- Zoom
- Jira
- Confluence
- Cloud connected SaaS tools
- Internal collaboration platforms
You will also work across SSO, SAML, RBAC, identity lifecycle management, user provisioning, access governance, and onboarding and offboarding automation.
This is a key part of the role. The business wants clean, secure, well managed systems that actually make life easier for people.
Automation, AI and Continuous Improvement
- Identify repeated manual processes and automate them
- Use scripting and tooling to improve IT operations
- Partner with AI and engineering teams to introduce smarter internal workflows
- Improve monitoring, alerting, reliability and reporting
- Help the business use AI tools safely, practically and effectively
- Drive ongoing improvement across systems, support and internal platforms

What We’re Looking For
Must have
- Strong experience in IT management, systems management, infrastructure or senior L3 support
- Hands on technical background across internal systems and enterprise platforms
- Solid Linux capability
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and/or Google Workspace
- Experience managing or supporting SaaS platforms in a business environment
- Strong understanding of identity and access management
- Excellent troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, SaaS, systems and integrations
- Experience working in enterprise, fintech, SaaS, high growth or high availability environments
- Strong ownership mindset
- Ability to lead, improve and communicate clearly with technical and non technical teams
Nice to have
- Experience with Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace migrations
- Scripting or automation experience, such as Python, Bash or similar
- Exposure to AWS, GCP or cloud connected environments
- Experience in fintech or fast scaling technology businesses
- Interest in AI driven tooling and automation
- Experience improving onboarding, offboarding and access governance processes
- Background as a Senior Systems Engineer, Infrastructure Lead or IT Operations Lead
