They are looking for a Senior Systems and Platform Engineer who thrives in ambiguity, complexity and pace. Someone who can operate at a high level and still roll up their sleeves when needed.
If you like structure, layers of approval and calendar Tetris, this is not your role.
🧠 What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing, building and maintaining scalable platform and systems infrastructure
- Working across Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft environments including Azure and hybrid setups
- Driving improvements in system reliability, performance and security
- Writing and maintaining automation scripts and tooling using Python and other scripting languages
- Supporting highly regulated financial systems with strong governance requirements
- Collaborating with engineering, product and leadership teams to deliver outcomes fast
- Navigating complex and sometimes ambiguous challenges and bringing clarity
🛠️ Tech Environment
- Cloud: Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure
- Languages: Python, JavaScript, C#, .NET
- Systems: Linux environments
- Focus: Platform engineering, systems optimisation and automation
🎯 What They’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Senior Systems or Platform Engineer
- Strong background across cloud infrastructure including GCP and Microsoft stack
- Deep experience with Linux environments
- Solid programming or scripting capability with Python essential
- Experience in financial services or FinTech is required
- Ability to operate in regulated and high stakes environments
- Clear communicator who is articulate, confident and commercially aware
- A genuine A player mindset with ownership, accountability and pace
