🚀 The Opportunity
One of Big Wave Digital’s favourite creative agency partners in Perth is looking for a Design and Digital Experience Lead to help shape the future of their design practice.
This is not a pixel pushing role.
This is a senior hands on leadership role for someone who enjoys moving between strategy, delivery, mentorship and client partnership.
You will be just as comfortable presenting ideas in a boardroom as you are sketching flows on a whiteboard or refining interfaces in Figma.

🌟 What You Will Be Doing
Leading digital experience engagements
Helping organisations rethink how their digital worlds work across websites, platforms and digital products.
Building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders
Helping clients navigate complexity and translate big ideas into practical digital experiences.
Remaining hands on in the craft
You will still be deeply involved in design activities including
🔍 User research

🎨 UI design
Guiding teams through complexity
Helping designers and project teams move from uncertainty to clarity and from ideas to real products.
Mentoring and growing the UX and UI team
Supporting designers through coaching, feedback and professional development.
Championing great design
Helping elevate creative thinking and design quality across the agency.
Supporting growth and new opportunities
Working closely with the strategy team to help shape new ideas, services and client opportunities.

You likely bring
✔ 7+ years experience across UX and UI design
✔ Experience designing websites, apps and digital platforms
✔ Experience mentoring or leading designers
✔ Confidence working directly with clients and stakeholders
✔ Strong thinking and problem solving skills
✔ A portfolio that shows real outcomes and not just pretty visuals
✔ Experience with Figma, Miro and modern design tools
