They’re scaling their reach across Australia and beyond, and they need a marketing leader who can tell their story in a way that lands with the people who matter most: farmers, graziers, and station managers who use what they build every single day.

Purpose of the Role
Reporting to the General Manager, the Head of Marketing and Communications will own the brand, lead the strategy, and make sure the world understands what this company does and why it matters.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role. You’ll lead a small capable team, run integrated campaigns, manage PR, drive digital, and oversee content. More than anything, you’ll be the person who ensures the brand voice is authentic, the messaging is credible, and the company earns the trust of an audience that can smell a city slicker from a mile off.
About You
You grew up on the land, or you’ve spent enough time in agriculture or AgTech that it’s become second nature. You know your way around a shearing shed. You understand the rhythms of calving season. You have genuine respect for the people who produce the food on our tables.
You also happen to be a seriously good marketing professional.
You bring:
- A farming background, whether that’s growing up mustering cattle or sheep on a working property, building a career in agricultural business, or working within the AgTech sector at a meaningful level
- Proven experience leading marketing and communications at a senior level, with a track record of brand building and campaign execution
- Exceptional storytelling skills, the ability to translate complex technology into language that resonates with producers who have zero patience for jargon
- Strong digital marketing knowledge and a strategic mindset that connects brand, content, and performance
- A hands-on approach with the ability to work across brand, content, PR, campaigns, and events simultaneously
- Leadership experience and the ability to mentor a small team, manage external agencies, and set a clear direction
- The kind of credibility that comes from actually knowing what a good lambing percentage looks like, why a busted float valve in a remote trough is a genuine crisis, or the difference between a first cross and a second cross ewe

Key Responsibilities
Brand and Strategy
Own the brand narrative, evolve the positioning, and ensure every piece of communication reflects who this company is and what they stand for across every channel.
Integrated Campaigns
Lead campaigns across digital, content, PR, events, and partnerships with clear objectives, sharp messaging, and measurable outcomes.
Communications and PR
Manage media relationships, press releases, and executive thought leadership. Build the company’s profile across both the agricultural and technology sectors.
Digital
Guide the Senior Digital Specialist to ensure digital activity drives audience growth, engagement, and conversion in line with broader brand priorities.
Content
Set the editorial direction and oversee the content calendar, ensuring everything from paddock-level case studies to industry reports is sharp, credible, and on-brand.
Events
Oversee the strategy for events, field days, and activations. If you’ve walked Beef Australia or the Royal Easter Show with a sense of purpose rather than just curiosity, you’ll know exactly what this means.
Leadership
Lead and develop the marketing and communications team, manage agency relationships, set KPIs, and report regularly to the General Manager on performance across all marketing and communications activity.
