About the company
We’re a fast-growing, well-funded infrastructure startup building next-generation CI/CD compute infrastructure. We operate our own global fleet of bare-metal machines, orchestrating tens of millions of virtual machines every month for thousands of customers. We’re a small, high-caliber engineering team scaling rapidly and expanding our platform into new areas of distributed compute.

What you’ll do
– Own and drive architectural direction for critical infrastructure platforms orchestrating tens of millions of VMs monthly across a global bare-metal fleet
– Take ownership of production reliability, performance, and operational excellence as the company multiplies compute capacity
– Partner directly with technical leadership to translate business and product strategy into long-term technical roadmaps
– Design and build systems at the kernel and filesystem level (eBPF, cgroups, namespaces, low-level I/O tuning) to optimize performance at petabyte scale
– Lead complex infrastructure initiatives end-to-end in ambiguous problem spaces
– Mentor senior engineers and help raise the technical bar across the team
What we’re looking for
– 8+ years of experience in low-level systems or distributed infrastructure engineering
– A track record of building and owning large-scale distributed systems at recognized, high-caliber organizations
– Staff/Principal-level IC experience, having materially shaped an engineering team’s technical direction
– Strong tenure history demonstrating real, delivered impact
– Systems programming expertise in Go, Rust, or C/C++
– Experience with virtualization technologies (Firecracker, QEMU, or Cloud Hypervisor)
– Experience with distributed storage systems at scale (e.g., Ceph)
– Comfort operating at the kernel/Linux-primitives level
Nice to have
– Early-stage startup experience scaling infrastructure rapidly
– Publications, patents, or conference talks in systems engineering
