We recruit for some of the fastest-scaling, top-tier technology and AI companies in Silicon Valley, San Francisco and New York. These are venture-backed businesses at Seed through Series B and beyond, building in AI, logistics tech, fintech, SaaS and more, and they only hire the best of the best.
The Role
We’re looking for a remote Sourcer / Resourcer based in Japan to help us find exceptional talent for our US clients. You’ll work directly with Keiran, Managing Director of Big Wave Digital, and Jules, our Head of Tech Recruitment.
This is a pure sourcing role, not a client-facing one. Your job is to source, identify and contact outstanding candidates across the US for roles such as:
- AI / ML Engineers
- Founding & Forward Deployed Engineers
- LLM / Applied AI Research Engineers
- AI Agent & Infrastructure Engineers
- Full-Stack & Platform Engineers (AI-native products)
- AI Product Managers
- Solutions / Sales Engineers (AI SaaS)
- Chief of Staff to CEO / Founders
- Growth Strategy Lead
- GTM, BizOps and Strategy Operators
All the talent you’ll be hunting is already based in the USA. We’ll train you on exactly what our clients look for; the calibre bar is high and the screening criteria are precise, and you’ll quickly become fluent in them.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 5 years in a similar sourcing or resourcing role. Previous experience as a tech recruiter is welcome.
- An expert at sourcing and hunting down top talent: LinkedIn, GitHub, communities, referrals, creative channels.
- Ideally your own access to LinkedIn Recruiter or equivalent candidate database access. We can provide access to job advertising platforms.
- Terrific written and spoken English. Your outreach needs to land with elite US candidates.
- Self-driven and consistent: we expect a minimum of 5 to 10 genuinely top-tier candidates sourced per week.
The Details
- 100% remote, based anywhere in Japan
- Commission-only, with strong earning potential tied directly to placements. Our US roles carry significant fees, so successful sourcers do very well.
- Full training on client requirements, role briefs and our screening frameworks
- It can be full-time or part-time.
- We deal with the client’s directly, you source great candidates for us
One honest note: Keiran and Jules speak only English, no Japanese, so terrific English really is essential. The one exception is that we can order two Kirin beers: 「キリンビール2つください!」(Kirin b》ru futatsu kudasai). We’re hoping you’ll teach us a little more.
