THE ROLE

You will own the Acquisition & Onboarding engineering domain end-to-end. That means the systems that bring users in, verify who they are, and get them activated fast. It’s a critical path — and it’s yours to build on.

Engineering Manager Sydney Onsite - Acquisition and Onboarding

What you’ll lead:
– Engineering delivery across acquisition funnels and onboarding flows
– Authentication and identity systems (OAuth2, OIDC, SSO)
– A team of engineers — hiring, growing, unblocking
– Technical decision-making that shapes product velocity
– Cross-functional collaboration with Product, Design and Data

This is a hands-on EM role. You’ll be expected to review code, contribute to architecture, and stay close to the technical reality of the team.

WHO YOU ARE

You’ve shipped complex software in production. You’ve led engineers — not just managed them. You understand that great engineering management means staying technical while thinking strategically.

You have:
– Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or Senior Tech Lead
– Strong .NET and/or TypeScript / Node.js background
– Deep understanding of OAuth2, OIDC or identity/authentication systems
– Experience owning user-facing flows (onboarding, activation, acquisition)
– The communication skills to work across product, design and executive stakeholders
– A bias for action and a high bar for quality
