Building the architecture properly for scale.

This is a hands-on transformation mandate inside a cloud-native product business investing heavily in platform maturity, engineering standards, AI capability, and long-term scalability.
You’ll step in as the senior architectural authority across the engineering organisation, helping shape how modern fintech products are built moving forward.

You’ll work closely with engineering leadership and tech leads across multiple squads, defining the architectural direction while remaining deeply hands-on in the code.

Someone who mentors through code reviews, pairing sessions, and engineering leadership rather than sitting outside delivery.
What You’ll Be Doing
- ā” Defining architectural standards and engineering principles across the platform
- ā” Designing scalable, cloud-native backend systems
- ā” Leading complex refactoring and migration initiatives
- ā” Helping shape AI-enabled product and engineering capabilities
- ā” Driving API design, domain boundaries, and platform consistency
- ā” Coaching senior engineers and tech leads across multiple squads
- ā” Establishing modern testing and quality practices
- ā” Partnering closely with platform and product leadership on long-term technical direction
- ā” Remaining hands-on across architecture, coding, reviews, and technical problem solving

Tech Environment
You’ll likely bring strong experience across:
- .NET / C#
- Cloud-native architecture
- Microservices
- Domain-Driven Design
- CQRS
- API design
- Event-driven systems
- Distributed systems
- Modern frontend exposure (Next.js / React highly regarded)
- Testing strategy and engineering quality practices
- Scalable platform architecture within product businesses
Experience within fintech, trading platforms, SaaS, or other high-scale regulated environments will be highly regarded.

- Has operated at Principal Engineer, Architect, or Staff+ level
- Can balance strategic architecture thinking with hands-on execution

Requirements
